Al is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience guiding organizations through startup and rapid-growth stages. He is a proven team builder and collaborative leader with a sophisticated understanding of business priorities, adept at managing operations and projects efficiently. In 2019, Al founded enTune Financial Services (“enTune”), leveraging his extensive expertise in commercial finance, accounting, and general financial matters.

Prior to enTune, Al was the founder and CEO of Alpine Capital, a specialty finance lender for the healthcare sector, where he led the origination, underwriting, and closing of over $160 million in loans. His earlier career includes serving as Chief Credit Officer for a national healthcare lender in New York City, where he directed business development and portfolio management, contributing to the firm's growth from $300 million to over $1.2 billion in assets under management—all without a single credit loss.

Al also held leadership roles at GE Capital and Heller Financial, managing teams in portfolio management and underwriting. He began his career at Freed Maxick, a public accounting firm, conducting audits and business valuations. Al holds a B.S. in Accounting from Canisius College and is a Certified Public Accountant. Outside of work, he enjoys outdoor activities, time with his family, and participating in his local church.

Markel Whisonant, widely known as "Mark," is a dedicated servant-leader whose lifelong commitment to helping others is the driving force behind his success across multiple industries. He embodies a genuine passion for service that translates into every facet of his professional life. With over 15 years of experience, he has established himself as a proficient Sales Executive, adept in customer service, brand and client retention, and strategic sales initiatives.

Mark’s professional journey includes key roles at organizations like Coca-Cola, Komet USA, and isolved, where he honed his expertise in building client relationships, leading cross-functional teams, and consistently exceeding sales goals. Mark is also skilled in employee development, fostering a customer-centric culture, and executing creative marketing and sales strategies.

A graduate of North Carolina Central University with a Bachelor of Arts, Mark is passionate about lifelong learning and personal growth. Outside of work, he enjoys an active lifestyle as a certified open water diver, Spartan racer, and avid reader of inspirational literature. He cherishes time with his wife, Balerie, and their four "fur babies," and is deeply involved in civil organizations, reflecting his commitment to service and community engagement.

An accomplished finance and operations leader, Karen brings extensive experience driving organizational growth, building high-performing teams, and implementing scalable solutions. Her experience brings to her role as Financial Services Director, a strong focus on both Client and Team success. Karen has excelled across diverse industries, including IT, Manufacturing, Government Contract, the pharmaceutical sector, Construction, and Hospitality Industries.

With a proven track record of success in Finance, Human Resources, and Sales & Marketing leadership roles, Karen brings a well-rounded approach to supporting and developing solutions for our enTune Financial Services clients. With a true servant focus, relationship building, long term partnerships, developing and growing her team and providing outstanding client service are the most rewarding in her role.

In her personal life, Karen and her husband of 24 years (John) and 2 sons (John and Trevor), and lab (Stella) live in coastal Georgia and enjoy golfing, pickleball and the outdoors whether on a long walk or fishing or hunting. A Rochester, NY native, Karen brings a work ethic to all engagements and instills within her team what she was taught early on by her parents, “If you work really hard, and you're kind, amazing things will happen”.
